Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Uttarakhand Government has taken a major decision after a high-level meeting on Thursday(29th April 2021), suspended the Char Dham Yatra starting from 14 May 2021 this year. According to the decision of the Uttarakhand government, the doors of Chardham Yatra Badrinath Ji, Kedarnath Ji, Gangotri Ji, and Yamunotri Ji will open on their scheduled dates, but only the priest will be allowed to worship there. The Char Dham Yatra has been stopped for the people of the entire country for now. Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Rawat took this decision after a high-level meeting held on Thursday (29th April 2021). The meeting was attended by Minister of Religious Affairs Shri Satpal Maharaj, CEO of Devasthanam Board Mr. Ravinath Raman, Additional Secretary Tourism Mr. Jugal Kishore Pant, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Board Mr. B D Singh, Additional Director Mr. Vivek Chauhan, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi districts DM and SP were also present.
The Chardham Yatra was to begin in May 2021 The Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand was to begin in May 2021. In this journey, Badrinath Ji, Kedarnath Ji, Gangotri Ji, and Yamunotri Ji are located in Uttarakhand. Millions of pilgrims come to Uttarakhand every year to perform this yatra. The doors of Shri Yamunotri and Shri Gangotri Dham will be opened on 14 May 2021. The doors of Kedarnath will be opened on May 17, 2021, at 5:00 am. The doors of Lord Badri Vishal will be opened on May 18, 2021, at 4:15 in the morning.
Hind Darshan Travel introduced Chardham Tour Package
Hind Darshan Travel has introduced a travel package for Chardham Yatra. This journey was scheduled to begin from Gorakhpur, Delhi, and Haridwar. The duration of this journey is 12 days from Gorakhpur, 11 days from Delhi, 9 days from Haridwar. Hind Darshan Travel has also introduced the Shri Kedarnath Yatra Package and Shri Badrinath to Kedarnath Yatra Package in addition to the Chardham Yatra Package. Founder and CEO of Hind Darshan Travel, Arvind Kumar Sharma informed that every year 100 to 200 passengers were booked for this journey. But so far this year only about 25 people were booked. But now after the decision of the Uttarakhand government, this booking is sure to cancel.
The famous Char Dham Yatra was postponed due to last year’s Corona pandemic. Recently, the event of Kumbh in Haridwar was overshadowed by this pandemic.
